Oh, hells yeah it is. I bought that trilogy in hardback used, because I wanted to own it so much. That was probably the first Zilpha Keatley Snyder I ever read, as a kid. Even then I could see her politics: that was pretty hardcore pacifism, there. Shoot, I need to add Ursula K. LeGuin, too.

You know... I have tried to get into Francesca Lia Block, and I have failed, miserably. I am not at all sure why.

Yeah, no fucking kidding about Sunshine, which is also a romance, let us not forget. WHEN is she going to write a sequel to that? ESPECIALLY since Octavia Butler is dead, and there is no one else writing good, satisfyingly complex vampire stories? (No, [livejournal.com profile] kaleidescope, those chick-lit vampire books do not count, even if I read them, too).
