I am not sympathetic to "generous, charitable" reigning monarchs. I've read accounts of her life before, and she's not impressive, except in her stupidity, cupidity, and vast naivety. I like Marge Piercy's City of Darkness, City of Light treatment of her and all the political satires and caricatures of her.
