She remains fun and genuinely talented. Did I remember to put "I'm Gonna be Strong" on your opera CD? Because I sometimes do that, because of the way she weilds her vocal chops. Her recent cover of "At Last" is also impressive and doesn't hew too uncomfortably close to Etta James, which is wise because the original is not to be fucked with. Anyway, Lauper, yeah, so many of her songs are actually good and not just 80's nostalgia. p.s. if you're a Hedwig fan, she's on the generally uninspired covers album doing an excellent "Midnight Radio."
