Day 253: Five things that make me sad

This entry is late, oops.

1. deaths (mostly of people close to me, or animals close to me, or animals in general)

2. friends growing apart from each other

3. the endless repetition of housework

4. aging, noticeably

5. genetic snafus I wish I could reverse (diabetes, weak fingernails... well, that's all I can think of right now)

Day 254: Five favorite foods

I do not like picking favorites. It feels restrictive.

Five foods I like a lot:

really good macaroni and cheese

pea soup with ham

black beans with onions, cumin, and rice

masoor dal with mushroom pullao

lemon cake with lemon icing -- or New York style cheesecake with strawberry sauce.
