Day 297: When did I start wearing makeup?

I mean, I played around with it a little, clown-pantomime style, in middle school. But I decided I hated the way it felt, so I never developed the habit. That, and this American woman doing her Junior Year Abroad program at the same time as me, at Sussex Uni... she was in the room across from mine in York House, and she would REFUSE to answer the door in the morning if "she didn't have her face on". That phrase alone sort of scared me. And then I saw her one day without makeup, and I literally did not recognize her at first, and that scared me more.
